We went for the blood test very early this morning at IVF Hammersmith and spent several hours anxiously anticipating the result. At 12:20, whilst doing some gardening, I received the call and the result was unexpected to say the least. At this point, much like last time, I would have expected to receive a definitive answer - either a positive or negative. However, the doctor informed me that the result showed a positive for HCG, but this was at such low levels (6 as opposed to at least 50) that it is unlikely to result in a viable pregnancy. I have to return in a week's time for another blood test.
I have been experiencing a number of symptoms recently such as very sore breasts, tiredness and some minor nausea so this must reflect the fact that something has happened.

I will keep you in my thoughts and in my prayers…
Thanks Susan - it's such a comfort to know someone is thinking of me. Redz
